Remote PC Access does not get much easier than GoToMyPC. Setup of GoToMyPC takes just 2 minutes. Once your computer is enabled, you can access it at any time from anywhere by logging in to the GoToMyPC website. You can access your office pc or another personal pc just as if you were sitting at your desk and stay connected even though you may be thousands of miles away. You have full control of the computer and all files, programs and network resources available on the machine. I recently had the opportunity to evaluate GoToMyPC It was amazing! It was as if i were sitting right in front of another remote computer.

My desktop became that remote desktop and I could open and view files from that computer, check email, and open programs. I could even copy files from that computer and paste them into mine! As all other remote access programs it wasn’t not so fast. It takes a little adjusting, too. The convenience of it, however, makes up for the lack of speed. It’s great for those who travel or are out of town on business and may need access to files on their computer back at the office or at home.

Anyone, without any network experience, can set up a GoToMyPc connection in just a few minutes. There is no need to mess with port or network settings—in fact, you don’t even have to know your IP address—or install and configure any hardware or software. And it even works with firewalls.

Setup is easy and takes only minutes. First you register at the gotomypc.com site. Download the “host”, and select a user name and password. You will be given an access code. That’s basically it! It really is quick and easy.

To access your computer from another computer anywhere in the world, just log in, enter your password and access code, and select your PC from the list. This will initiate the connection. Within a minute or so you will be fully connected and the desktop of your home PC will appear in the viewer Window. You can now access your computer as needed. Obviously, to enable the connection your home computer must be left on. If there’s a power outage while you’re away and your computer shuts off, you will be out of luck—unless there is someone at home or the office who can turn it back on.
